800 people a day moving to Florida
Florida is one of the more popular destinations for families especially in the more recent years
According the Florida state CFO Jimmy Patronis.
The focal attractions being beaches, warm weather year-round, great restaurants for all types of food especially Cuban, easy access and resident discounts to Disney World, and no state income tax that has become a main driver for many of those 800 people a day changing their residency to Florida.
Migration to Florida had steadily risen over the past decade before increasing during the coronavirus pandemic as remote working and the warm climate drew people to the Sunshine State. Florida’s population grew by 2.7 million — or 14.6% — between 2010 and 2020, according to US Census data.
This is double the rate of overall US population growth. For many of the above reasons Florida is becoming a magnet for financial services and big businesses.
